On Saturday, April 23, TILers headed from El Paso to nearby Las Cruces for our annual reception, dinner, and ceremony. Here are some highlights.
6:00-7:00 PM: Reception at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, Sunset Hall. David Romo and Los Liminals
entertained us with jazz before dinner.
7:15-8:00 PM: Dinner
8:00-10 PM: Annual Banquet Program—remaining TIL Awards presented, along with Lifetime Achievement Award-Winner Celeste Bedford Walker, New Member readings by Francisco Stork and Amanda Eyre Ward, a farewell from TIL president Sergio Troncoso, closing comments by incoming president Diana López, and more.
